BLACKSBURG Lions Recycle for Sight Program ...

the Blacksburg Breakfast Lions Club began the collection of glasses in several locations in Blacksburg. 

Glasses are collected and brought to Roanoke Lions Club where they are sanitized, then prescriptions are read, and the glasses are added to Lion's inventory. From there they are distributed to medical and optical missions worldwide. Even damaged, unusable glasses are recycled for metal or scrap. Readers can be recycled in the United States.

Blacksburg Breakfast Lions Club recently made our second trip to volunteer at the Lions Roanoke Eyeglass Recycling. We delivered 493 glasses, 84 sunglasses. That was our biggest collection from the Blacksburg area ever, and many were collected at the Lions Football Parking Lot this year. Thank you!
